A Romantic Scavenger Hunt Leads To The Perfect Proposal

After two-and-a-half years together, Andrew decided it was time to pop the question to Ashley – but not before sending her on a pampering scavenger hunt.

Starting bright and early, Ashley was handed a card by Andrew’s best friend with her first clue.

“I went into total shock. I was literally in my tracksuits and thought, ‘How am I going to pull myself together?'” Ashley told us. “Luckily for me, Andrew knows me very well and my first card basically said to get changed into comfy clothes and that the first stop is at 8.30am so I’d have plenty of time to get ready. It said, ‘Don’t stress about what to wear you can get changed as the day goes on. Now go get ready for breakfast. P.S. I LOVE YOU.'”

Ashley soon found herself at The Lagoon Seafood Restaurant, where she found a red piece of paper with the words, “For Ashley, I love you my Bella, Love Andrew.” There, she enjoyed breakfast (with a spot of people watching) and had a manicure before receiving card number three, which read, “Now that you are feeling fabulous fresh I want you to relax, unwind and let go of stress. The amount of Love I have for you can’t be measured for no form of measurement can measure limitless Love. P.S. I LOVE YOU.”

After heading to Spa Semiyahn for an hour-long massage, Ashley received card number four which told her to go to a floating spa, though she decided to get a voucher and headed for her next destination. There she received card number five, which advised her to get ready.

Ashley called her maid of honour to join her and the two were driven down the coast to the final destination.

“I had no idea where I was going and could hardly speak as I was so nervous. After a 40 minute drive, we turned into Silos Estate. My heart was racing.”

It was there that she found Andrew waiting for her, with a gorgeous set up created by The Collectors Nest and a handcrafted pear-shaped diamond from Gilan Jewellers. The unique design includes two rose gold A’s and a rose to represent their love.

“I walked over to the love of my life and he gave me the biggest hug. He said, ‘I love you so much and want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?’

Congratulations to Ashley and Andrew!
