Congratulations are in order for pop-singer, mega-hot superstar Ricky Martin. Overnight, the 44-year old announced on Ellen that he was engaged to Swedish-raised painter Jwan Yosef.
Ricky explained that he first heard of 32-year old Jwan when he started collecting his artwork and when they met a year ago, there was instant chemistry. They’ve been together ever since “And we just got engaged,” revealed Ricky while showing off his engagement ring.
“I proposed. I was really nervous,” he explained. “But I got on my knees and I took out the little, not a box, I just had them in a little velvet pouch. And instead of saying ‘Will you marry me?’ I said, ‘I got you something!’
“And he was like ‘Yes?’ And then I said, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you’. And he was like, ‘What is the question?’ [and I asked] ‘Would you marry me?'”
Ricky said that “30 minutes after” he had to ask, “Did you say yes? Yes, he said ‘yes’.” So, so cute.
Ricky has two eight-year old twins, Valentino and Matteo who he’s been raising as a single dad (he split with economist Carlos González Abella in 2014 after three years of dating.
