REAL WEDDING: NADHISHA AND HANS

Nadhisha and Han’s wedding turned out exactly the way they had envisioned it; an explosion of white flowers and greenery with a picturesque country backdrop.

The couple were lucky enough to have two wedding ceremonies – a traditional Sri Lankan Buddhist Poruwa, then a civil ceremony.  The traditional ceremony was held outdoors in the stunning gardens of Bendooley Estate in Berrima. Nadisha and her bridesmaids wore traditional Sri Lankan sarees, however unlike traditional Sri Lankan bridal wear, the sarees were kept simple, with intricate lace detailing on the bodice.

The civil ceremony was full of fun and laughter. Nadhisha told Wedded Wonderland, “We both exchanged our vows which we wrote ourselves and I have never smiled and laughed so much in my life.”

The intimate reception, held in the Berkelouw Book Barn on the Bendooley Estate property, was adorned in vintage chandeliers, greenery and beautiful white flowers, with copper and golden accents adding warmth to the room.  Reflecting on the moment she walked into the room, Nadhisha told Wedded Wonderland, “I was honestly blown away … I have never seen anything so magical and beautiful. My wedding dreams had all come true. Everything was perfect.”

The couple and their guests enjoyed amazing food, speeches and dancing; the perfect end to the perfect day.
