Real Wedding: High School Sweethearts Tie the Knot

After nine and a half years of being together, high school sweethearts Vanessa and Matthew tie the knot!

For Vanessa, the inspirational world of Instagram, Pinterest and all the social platforms in between, created the perfect bridal support system. After searching far and wide, and from dusk until dawn, she finally decided upon a simple, classic and elegant theme for her wedding. A variation of white and gold touches were effortlessly placed throughout the day, creating what we believe is a fabulous Italian Wedding!

The grand St Patrick’s Cathedral offered an abundance of tradition and heritage fit for an emotion-filled church ceremony. The heart-warming ceremony began with Vanessa walking down the aisle toward husband-to-be Matthew. As the nerves fluttered away, the pair were wrapped in a pure moment of gratification and bliss.

Although Melbourne’s relentless muggy weather threatened to expose some initial setbacks, the bridal party and guests refused to hinder the festivities ahead. Vanessa tells Wedded, that the most amusing moment was entering the glamorous San Remo Ballroom to the very song the high school sweethearts were famous for, “Regulate by Nate dogg and Warren G”. The room erupted in laughter as the song choice triggered memories throughout! – It was the perfect start to what would soon become another wonderful memory!
