Madeline and Aaron celebrated their Wedding with a gorgeous vintage, Italian coastal theme that captured the magic and romance of Italy and the natural beauty of the Western Australian coastline.
The couple first met when Aaron offered to escort Madeline and her friend to Rottnest Island for the day, having been unable to catch an earlier boat.
“Let’s just say when I arrived at the boat park to find Aaron I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a buff blonde shirtless surf live saver and carpenter. he had asked me out on date before the end of the day and the rest was history..”
The Wedding was inspired by the beauty of the Italian coast. “We wanted to capture the old fashioned romance of catholic Weddings in areas like Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi and Sicily. As the ocean means so much to both of us, and WA has such an amazing coastline, we wanted to recreate the theme on a beach right near where we met, with a bit of an unstructured secret garden feel to the flowers.”
The colour scheme was an eclectic and beautiful mix of pales pinks and peaches, shades of white, olive, greenery, gold and the odd touch of lemon. The Reception was held in the beautiful Bathers Beach House, which allowed for stunning ocean views and gave the guests the chance to soak up the gorgeous Western Australian sunset.
One memorable moment from there Wedding felt like a scene straight out of dozen movies, with a slight case of someone catching on fire at the reception! “One of Aaron’s uncles leaned over the candles on the bridal table to take a picture of the bridesmaids and his polyester tie went up in flames. He barely flinched, just swatting it out on his beer belly, laughing along.”
Be inspired by this old school elegant Wedding fairies!
