Milan’s amazing surprise proposal came during a weekend away in a gorgeous private tree house, on the Gold Coast hinterland.
“It was for my birthday weekend so I didn’t really suspect anything. Upon arrival the receptionist came to our car and advised me that our suite wasn’t ready and that she had booked a manicure and massage for me while we wait. When we finally got to the room the whole apartment was covered in rose petals with a timeline of all our photos around the walls. Milan got down on one knee and I said YES! He later revealed that the manicure and massage were planned as he remembered from early on in our relationship that I mentioned I wanted to have my nails freshly painted when he proposes,” Melissa told Wedded Wonderland. Gentlemen, take note!
Melissa and Milan described their wedding as a combination of modern elegance and old tradition – ” It was honestly the most amazing day and there is nothing we would go back and change.” Melissa donned two stunning gowns on her special day, with the first being a stunning princess gown with an endless train, followed by a sexy form fitting gown to party the night away in.
The reception blew guests away, with over 8000 white blooms adorning the space, creating a beautiful Winter Wonderland for the guests to delight in.
Reflecting back on their special day, Melissa told Wedded Wonderland, “Seeing Milan for the first time was my favourite. When we first saw each other I think both of us were honestly speechless, we just looked at one another and it felt like there was no one else there.” So sweet!
