Inside Mario Ho and Ming Xi’s Long-Awaited Wedding at a Historic French Castle

Inside Mario Ho and Ming Xi’s Long-Awaited Wedding at a Historic French Castle

Seven years after officially marrying and building a family together, Mario Ho and Ming Xi gathered loved ones in France for a lavish castle wedding that transformed their long-awaited celebration into a real-life fairytale.

Most couples spend months planning a wedding. Mario Ho and Ming Xi spent seven years waiting for theirs.

After officially registering their marriage in 2019, building a family together, welcoming two children, and navigating life in the public eye, the entrepreneur and Chinese supermodel finally gathered loved ones in France for the wedding celebration they had long envisioned.

And it was worth the wait.

Held on June 1 against the breathtaking backdrop of Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey, one of France's most iconic UNESCO World Heritage sites, the celebration felt less like a celebrity wedding and more like a storybook brought to life.

The theme of the wedding, "A Promise Fulfilled," quietly captured everything the day represented. This was not the beginning of a marriage. It was the celebration of one that had already stood the test of time.

The Wedding They Waited Seven Years to Have

In an era of whirlwind engagements and social media countdowns, there was something refreshing about a wedding that arrived years after the legal paperwork.

Mario and Ming Xi officially married in 2019. Since then, they have welcomed two children, built a life together, and become one of Asia's most recognizable celebrity couples.

Yet despite already being husband and wife, they never stopped dreaming about the wedding celebration itself.

According to reports, plans for a larger ceremony had been postponed multiple times over the years. Rather than rushing the process, the couple waited until the timing felt right.

The result was a celebration that carried a deeper emotional weight than a traditional wedding day.

It wasn't about promises being made. It was about promises already kept.

A Castle Wedding Straight Out of a Fairytale

If there was ever a venue designed for romance, Mont-Saint-Michel would be high on the list.

Perched dramatically above the sea and surrounded by centuries of history, the abbey provided a setting that felt almost cinematic.

Ancient stone corridors, soaring Gothic architecture, and panoramic views created the feeling of stepping into another century.

The ceremony aisle was lined with soft pink peonies, transforming the historic landmark into something both regal and romantic.

Every photograph captured a striking contrast between the grandeur of the medieval setting and the softness of the floral design.

The result felt elegant without becoming overly formal.

Historic without feeling distant.

And undeniably magical.

Ming Xi's Dior Couture Moment

Every fairytale wedding needs a showstopping bridal look, and Ming Xi delivered one of the year's most talked-about fashion moments.

The supermodel wore a custom Dior Haute Couture wedding gown reportedly crafted exclusively for the occasion.

The design featured an elegant off-the-shoulder neckline, a sculpted fitted bodice, and a dramatic full skirt that flowed into a cathedral-length veil.

According to reports, the creation required more than 600 hours of hand craftsmanship.

The dress balanced classic bridal elegance with the polished sophistication expected from one of fashion's most recognizable faces.

Adding even more sparkle to the occasion, Ming Xi completed her look with a remarkable collection of Graff diamond jewellery that elevated the already breathtaking ensemble.

The overall effect was less fashion editorial and more modern princess.

Mario Ho Kept It Classic

While the bride embraced couture drama, Mario chose timeless sophistication.

The groom wore a black double-breasted tailcoat paired with a crisp white shirt and traditional bow tie.

The clean tailoring allowed the venue, the celebration, and most importantly his bride to remain centre stage.

Together, the couple looked perfectly aligned with the grandeur of the setting.

Elegant, refined, and completely at home inside one of Europe's most iconic landmarks.

The Sweetest Members of the Wedding Party

Perhaps the most touching detail of the day was not the couture, the venue, or the guest list.

It was the children.

The couple's son and daughter played important roles in the ceremony as ring bearer and flower girl, transforming the event from a lavish wedding into a family celebration.

For couples who marry before having children, wedding photos often capture the beginning of a family.

For Mario and Ming Xi, the family was already there.

Watching their children participate in the ceremony served as a reminder that this wedding represented much more than a single day.

It celebrated the life they had already built together.

A Guest List Filled With Familiar Faces

The celebration attracted an impressive guest list that reflected the couple's international profile.

Among those in attendance were Olympic champion Eileen Gu and entertainer Jackson Wang, who reportedly served as one of the groomsmen.

Guests were flown in for the occasion, while reports suggested attendees received luxury welcome gifts as part of the experience.

Before the wedding itself, the couple hosted an elegant welcome dinner where Ming Xi appeared in a powder-blue Dior gown paired with extraordinary Graff diamonds.

The festivities felt less like a one-day event and more like a carefully curated wedding weekend.

The most memorable detail from Mario Ho and Ming Xi's French wedding was not the couture gown, the abbey, or even the flowers.

It was the idea behind it all. A Promise Fulfilled.

After seven years of marriage, two children, and countless milestones together, this was a celebration of a relationship that had already proven itself.

Not every wedding marks the start of a journey.

Sometimes it celebrates everything that happened along the way.
