Son of Guy Fieri marries Tara Bernstein at cozy country-chic ranch party full of pickleball flair and epic food vibes.
Forget fancy ballrooms, Hunter Fieri, chef and eldest son of Food Network’s Guy Fieri married his soulmate, pro pickleball player Tara Bernstein, in a totally vibey, low-key ranch ceremony on August 30 at HuntRyde Ranch in Sonoma, California. The weekend felt more like “a mini music fest you sleep at,” complete with camp trailers, petting zoo critters, and way more sequins than expected.
They kicked things off Friday night with a “Denim & Diamonds” welcome party under twinkly lights. Guests chowed down on Mexican-inspired eats by Chef Lorena Garcia (plus Venezuelan hot doughnuts because, c’mon, who misses dessert?) and signaled their arrival by doodling notes on a YETI cooler instead of a traditional guest book
The actual wedding day was lush country meets relaxed camp drama. The ceremony took place on a tiny island beneath a willow in the pond, with Tara walking across a floral-freighted wooden bridge, her grandpa way of stepping into forever. Even the flower girl was show-stealing: Hunter’s 81-year-old “Mimi” served the role with unexpected charm.
Style-wise, Tara made a sparkling entrance in a custom Justin Alexander ball gown complete with beaded lace and a cathedral-length floral veil. She changed into two more embroidered looks throughout the night. Hunter matched the energy, rocking a stone-colored suit with ivory accents for himself and his groomsmen (including his brother, Ryder, who was best man).
And those personalized cowboy boots for the wedding party? Old Gringo x The Surgeon made pairs with names, logos, and secret handwritten messages on the soles, gifted with “much love” and serious craftsmanship.
Tara’s ring finger catchphrase? Simple and meaningful: their initials discreetly hand-painted into her French manicure.
Ranch feels ran deep, guests literally camped overnight at the venue, and Hunter + Tara spent their first night as newlyweds in a luxe tent. VIP stays? Check. Low-key glam? Double check.
The mini petting zoo (yes, with donkeys named Burrito and Taquito) brought extra smiles because if you can’t cuddle donkeys at your wedding, are you even trying?
But let’s talk WEAPONS OF CHOICE: the food dancers. Fueled by celebrity chefs Cesar Orozco (head chef of Sonoma County Catering), Antonia Lofaso, Lorena Garcia, and Aaron May dinner came as a family-style Italian spread with pasta, focaccia, meat, and veggie medleys to die for.
For dessert, Cake Boss’s Buddy Valastro delivered a jaw-dropping six-tier “country chic” cake, nearly four to five feet tall, packed with five flavor options and a gluten-& dairy-free tier just for Tara. He’d even made their engagement cake before.
And yes, the vibes were tailored down to the mocktails. Guests sipped Tara’s “Honey I Dew” (honeydew, cucumber, coconut water, and a hint of spirulina) and Hunter’s “Fieri Sunrise” (Santo Tequila, Aperol, and citrus soda) plus there was a pickleball-themed dance court with minis as table numbers.
All of it felt curated, cozy, and wildly authentic. Tara expressed how Hunter is “the guy version of me,” and that it felt like marrying your best friend especially since they met at the Super Bowl in 2023 and got engaged Thanksgiving that year.
