They had only been Married for a few hours, but a Groom has filed for divorce because his new Bride was too busy texting to get intimate with him.
It’s been reported in the Gulf News that the Bride was responding to messages of congratulations when her Groom asked her to stop so that they could consummate the Marriage. The Bride refused and got angry with him and it ended in an argument before the Groom stormed out of the hotel room and filed for the divorce.
A relative was quoted telling Saudi daily paper, Al Watan: ‘The groom tried to get closer with her and more intimate, but he was shocked when she ignored him, not responding to his words and action. When he asked her if her friends were more important than he was, the bride answered that they were.’
The couple were referred to a reconciliation committee, but the husband is adamant he wants to continue with the divorce.
