It’s good to be reminded every now and then that Queen Bey is still human and just yesterday, it was revealed that she (like many girls) suffered Wedding dress regret.
Beyonce’s mother, 62-year old Tina Knowles designed the singer/dancer/slayer’s dress for her August 2008 Wedding to Jay Z and hinted that Bey wasn’t a fan of her strapless gown.
The classic white Wedding gown featured ruffled detail down the front and a mermaid-cut train to enhance her curves, but Beyonce admitted she didn’t love the gown and wouldn’t ask her mother to design her own daughter’s (Blue Ivy Carter) gown in the future.
Tina spoke with the Today Show, saying (in relation to Beyonce’s Wedding gown), “She was so sweet to let me do that. She came back later one day and she said, ‘You know, when my daughter gets married, I’m going to let her pick out her own dress’. Maybe she wasn’t so excited about it at the time, but she’s a sweetheart.”
