A Glamorous Sydney Wedding

After a beautifully romantic picnic proposal in front of the Harbour Bridge, Annalisa and Domenic set about planning their glamorous wedding.

Despite planning an August 2020 wedding, the global pandemic had other plans and the couple had to post-pone their wedding for another 8 months, but when they were finally about to tie the knot they had the most magical time of their lives and wouldn’t change a thing!

“Every single thing went smoothly on the day from the morning preparations to the very end of the night. The most memorable thing about our big day was that all of our guests genuinely enjoyed themselves, every single one of our 320 guests was up dancing all night long and they really made our night special for enjoying it as much as they did. At one stage of the night Domenic and I sat back and saw that we were able to have the wedding of our dreams, with all the guests in which we wanted there being able to do whatever they wanted, it was the best feeling after all the stresses that 2020 brought us,” Bride Annalisa told Wedded Wonderland. –

Despite the stresses of planning during a pandemic, this only drove Annalisa to become the poster girl for change in the wedding industry starting up the first petition regarding the double standards around weddings and dancing at weddings.

“The 8-month delay was full of stress and uncertainty, and it added anxiety’s that no one should have had during the planning of their wedding. It clouded what was meant to be the best time of our lives, and we spent the 8 months stressing over every announcement that was made.  We overcame this by supporting other brides and grooms, and driving a petition that I had started and getting the traction in the media to bring awareness to the double standards of the rules that were surrounding weddings. It was worth the wait in the end because it was the most perfect day and we had 0 restrictions applied at the time of our wedding and we knew we didn’t have to compromise on anything we wanted!”

One of the sources she uses throughout her planning process was our Wedded Wonderland Group Facebook page where she was able to connected with other Brides and support one another during the planning as well as postponing process.

Be inspired, Fairies!
