Barbie-Pink Bridal Shower Meets Taronga Zoo

Now, we don’t know about you, but we’re still on a Barbiecore high—we’ll take a generous serving of bold blushes and pretty pinks on any day of the week. Enter Andriana’s adorable bridal shower, which immediately had us swooning over the lush event design!

The Venue and Design 

Organized and designed by event extraordinaire Diane Khoury, the party took place at the Taronga Zoo events center, a refreshing and classy venue on the picturesque Sydney Harbour. This spot is also where the couple got engaged in August 2022! 

To achieve the abundant garden setup, John Emmanuel Floral Events was tapped for the multi-colored blooms. White Label Design Build created the custom backdrop, while place settings and chairs were provided by The Pretty Table Hire and Harbourside Decorators, respectively. The various signages and decals were supplied by Letters By LouLou and Edge House Design. 

Andriana’s guests were all treated to personalized activity booklets, which came with their seating placements! This special touch was provided by The Treasure Room Event Hire and the aforementioned stationery suppliers. 

The end result was as stunning as can be!

The Events at Taronga complex boasts roomy, versatile events spaces that enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows, and overlook the Harbour Bridge. Complete with an indoor hall as well as a spacious outdoor viewing deck, the elegant hideaway is perfect for bridal showers, engagement parties, weddings, and other romantic affairs.

Here is a list of their best event spaces:

• The Dalang Ballroom – As the largest space in the complex, this ballroom features an open plan, and floor-to-ceiling windows that give you an impressive 180-degree view of the Sydney Skyline.
• The N’galawa Terrace – View the Zoo grounds and Sydney Harbour from this terrace, which is equipped with a private bar and a sophisticated sound system.
• The Gili Rooftop – Bask in majestic views of the Harbour from this multipurpose open-air rooftop.
• Concert Lawns – The concerts lawns of the Taronga Zoo can host a whopping 3,000 guests for a standing or cocktail event.
• Condor Lawns – Situated next to the Bird Ampitheatre, this space is similarly fit for cocktail gatherings.
• Soden Lawns – Enjoy a three-tiered lawn and city views at this lawn, where you can host pre-wedding drinks and similar gatherings.

The Look 

Andriana’s romantic off-the-shoulder mini dress was created by Australian designer Lillian Khallouf. 

“I had the immense pleasure of collaborating with Andriana in crafting and curating the ideal look for her bridal shower. Constructed from an Italian duchess satin, this mini features a meticulously designed built-in corset and a voluminous hand-draped off-the-shoulder neckline,” wrote the designer on Instagram. 

The blushing bride-to-be accessorized with simple gold bangles, and finished off the look with a pair of sky-high pointy pumps in a hot pink shade. 

Andriana’s sleek half-updo was by hairstylist Natalie Anne Ayoub, while the soft Hollywood glam makeup was done by Melissa Sassine.
