An Ethereal Sydney Wedding

Elly and Dimitri tied the knot in a dazzling Wedding with Bride Elly shining the brightest in her sparkling ever so ethereal gown and a golden crown fit for royalty!

The Proposal

“We are both not particularly romantic people- I always wanted him to propose when it was just the two of us. We worked really hard to save and had purchased our home together in November 2018. On the day of settlement, he wanted me to go to the house after work- which I wasn’t too pleased about, It was a long day, I didn’t see a point in going to an empty house! When I got there- we were walking around talking about what we’d like to renovate when Dim said “we should check all the cupboards to see if the previous owners have left anything behind”. He told me to start in the kitchen, and after opening a few cupboards I noticed a small box- which made me yell “OH THEY’VE LEFT SOMETHING!”… I looked closer and realised… hang on… that’s a ring box… opened it and saw the ring. My favourite thing was that he didn’t ask me to marry him… he told me that we were getting married. I loved that because I always told him that after being together for 10 years- he just had to tell me we were getting married, not to ask me… I had been waiting for ages!”

Most Unique

” The most unique part I think would be that I got married on my 28th birthday!! I was able to have 250 of my nearest and dearest sing me happy birthday and I got to cut a birthday cake with my godparents which was really special for me. Also, Dimitri and his brothers performed a surprise greek dance for our guests which they had been practising for a while. On the night they performed it perfectly! It was a really proud moment for me to see!”
