Beautiful Bride Avelima held her glamorous Samoan Wedding in Sydney, then took off to Paris with her new hubby and had a photo-shoot in front of the Eiffel tower, in her George Elsissa gown.
Bride Avelima told Wedded Wonderland the best moment of her Special Day was walking down the aisle as her husband-to-be sang to her. “He is a singer, and has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. He wrote a song for me, it was that moment that I really felt like I was getting married. Up until that point, it hadn’t really sunken in.” This sounds so romantic.
The highlights from this couple’s incredible Wedding was the incorporation of their Samoan culture throughout the day. “Samoan’s love big celebrations, so we were lucky enough to have cultural dances and lots of singing at our reception.”
The inspiration behind the couple’s decision to fly to Paris was that Avelima had always dreamed of a Parisian Wedding, however due to their culture and families, there was no way she would have been able to fulfill her dream.
“There was no way I was going to get my 300 guests to Paris. Instead I took my wedding dress and my husband’s suit to Paris. It was so much more romantic that way, it was like experiencing my wedding day photo shoot without the stress of having to get to the reception afterwards. My husband and I could just relax and take our time.” And, she got to wear her Wedding gown twice!
Be inspired, Fairies!
