Spring is renowned across the globe as ‘Wedding season’ and with its perfect temperatures (not too hot, not too cold) and gorgeous in-season flowers, it’s no surprise that so many Brides book their Big Day during this time.

However, if you’re planning a spring Wedding, you’ll probably hear a whole lot of dos and don’ts and it can be seriously overwhelming. So, we’re here to bust a few spring Wedding myths for you, Fairies, it’s all about breaking the rules!
1. It Needs to Be Outside
Just because you’re having a Wedding in springtime, it does not mean you have to default to an outdoors ceremony or reception! If you’ve got your heart set on a church or reception venue keep that part of the Wedding inside, but why not consider having a cocktail hour in the great outdoors? Regardless of what aspect of the Wedding you host outdoors, make sure you have a back-up plan, because spring can be notorious for rain!

2. You Should Use Pastels
Springtime Weddings and pastel colour palettes go hand-in-hand, but you should never feel as though you have to go for baby pinks, yellows and blues. Be anything but basic and go as bright, or as monochrome as your heart desires.
3. You Need Lots of Flowers
Sure, spring flowers are some of the prettiest around, but if you’re more of a foliage-kinda girl, don’t let anyone tell you that you need to have florals at your Wedding. Most experienced florists can create spectacular bouquets and centrepieces without using a single flower and it will leave your Wedding looking elegant, modern and chic.

4. You Should Have Peonies
We love a pretty peony or two in the bouquet and it’s so popular that it can be hard to find a Bride who’ll make it through her spring Wedding without sporting one of these blooms. However, these blooms traditionally represent shame, so you may want to reconsider!
5. You Should Always have an Evening Reception
Spring is the perfect time to opt for a brunch of lunchtime reception; you can take advantage of the gorgeous weather and you’ll most likely save money in the process!
