The way Lara and Samuel met may sound cliche, but their wedding was anything but!
“As if it were straight out of a rom-com, we first locked eyes at a busy inner city café and aptly titled infinity . Both regulars at the café we had become friends with the owner, Johnny, who had noticed our chemistry and decided to play cupid and set us up on our first date. A romance ensued, we moved in together, and a year later we discovered that it was no longer going to be the two us, and we welcomed our son Leonardo into our world!” the couple told Wedded Wonderland.
Fast-forward to their magical wedding, where Lara and Sam’s dream of transporting their guests to another time and place, to encapsulate them in the moment of celebration of love, family and friends came to life!
Inspired by the extravagance of the French nobility and the glamour of a by-gone era, this couple really wanted to recreate the opulence and beauty of Versailles.
Aravina Estate provided a truly sensational setting for the affair. With beautiful marble like floors and gallant crystal chandeliers, the sophistication and elegance of the dressed reception room set against the truly unique rustic beauty of the Yallingup wine region made for a stunning contrast.
The ceremony held in the Estate’s gardens, overlooking the lake and rolling hills of beautiful green vines. The couple exchanged vows under the eaves of an arbor, beautifully draped, covered in blooms and centred around a beautiful vintage crystal chandelier. Lara, walked down the aisle, accompanied by her father to a truly memorising rendition of Louis Armstrong’s La Vie en Rose, featuring the sultry vocals of the beautiful Libby Hammer. The couple’s son, 3 year old Leonardo, released 50 butterflies to signify the end of the ceremony and beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
Rich gold hues and warm floral motifs set the beautiful scene for the reception with oversized brass floral centre-pieces flanked by crystal tea lights, brass candlesticks and crystal bud vases adorning the tables. Big gold shells, crystals and pearls were subtly used on the bridal, cake and dessert tables to replicate the opulence of the beautiful mouldings on the ceilings of Versailles, all setting the scene for a royal experience.
The band performed the great jazz classics as guests enjoyed the menu, the DJ then rose the antics, and everyone hit the dance floor and danced the night away.
Be inspired by this incredibly romantic wedding, Fairies!
