Demos popped the question while the couple were holidaying in Greece, on a beautiful, balmy Greek summer night, as they watched the lights of the monumental Parthenon lighting up the sky … So it was only natural for them to return and hold their destination wedding there the following summer.
“Demos and I both have Greek backgrounds, so it was very special for us to travel back to the country where our ancestors are from to mark the biggest day of our lives,” Elle told Wedded Wonderland.
The couple wanted to stay true to their ancient ritual and tradition, marrying in a beautiful seaside church on the island, built more than 150 years ago. Elle wore a divine, intricately beaded sleeved gown, complemented by soft flowing waves and natural makeup, with her six gorgeous bridesmaids by her side in simple white gowns.
The couple held their picturesque reception at Elle’s parents estate in Nifties Bay where they embraced the natural beauty of their surroundings; opting for soft white, gold and green colours and twinkling fairy lights to adorn the 100 year old olive trees that lined the property, creating a relaxed yet glamorous atmosphere. Demos and Elle’s main desire was to put on a wonderful and memorable party for their guests, and that’s exactly what they did, partying well into the early hours of the morning with their nearest and dearest.
One of the most memorable moments of their special day was making their entrance to the reception aboard a boat, “We will never forget the moment we sailed in to see all five tiers of our magnificent reception lit up, with 300 guests clapping us in. It was truly spectacular.”
Enjoy this breath-taking wedding, Fairies!
