How They Met
In the enchanting land down under, Sabrina and Ryan’s love story unfolded like a scene straight out of a romantic film. Sabrina, a talented performer in the Australian Outback Spectacular was captivating the audience, including some friends of hers who came to watch the show. During post show cocktails, they were prompted to set Sabrina up with their good friend. It was organised for the following week where they met at ‘The Tropic’ in Burleigh. A double blind date, which believe it or not, was love at first sight!
The Proposal
Now, picture this: a sunset, a private beach on Moreton Island, cocktails in hand, and their closest friends surrounding them. That’s the scene where Ryan dropped to one knee and surprised Sabrina with a proposal that would forever be etched in their hearts.
All The Details Of Sabrina and Ryan’s Wedding
Fast forward to the grand spectacle that was their wedding day. Sabrina and Ryan’s celebration was nothing short of magical, and their favorite elements made it truly unique. With a glamorous French Provincial theme, the day was awash with pastel blooms, crystal vases, baroque boiserie, chandeliers, and enough French pear-scented candles to light up the night. The atmosphere? Classic Hollywood with a lavish and extravagant pastel palette made everyone swoon.
But that wasn’t all. Sabrina, being a talented musician with a treasure trove of colleagues in the industry, orchestrated a day filled with musical celebrations. Surprise performances and guest artists graced the stage, thanks to Sabrina’s connections and her wonderfully talented NIDA classmates who serenaded her husband. It was a day of immense love and joy with all their nearest and dearest.
Now, you might be wondering about the inspiration behind the French provincial element and black tie theme. Sabrina had always dreamt of a glamorous black-tie wedding, while the romance and purity of abundant flowers and classical elements in the French Provincial style added a touch of timeless elegance.
The Bride’s Gown
Now, let’s talk fashion, shall we? Sabrina’s breathtaking gown was a masterpiece crafted by her longtime friend and designer, Richard de Chazal. No fittings, just trust and loads of fun. Richard worked from a personalized body cast, making the first fitting an almost complete gown. The first gown and headpiece were inspired by the extravagance of the eighteenth century court of Versailles, with jeweled gardens, gilded blossoms, and an explosion of sumptuous lace and beaded tulle. The second gown was pure old Hollywood, reminiscent of Ginger Rogers in ‘Top Hat,’ with layers of rose gold, platinum, and ivory.
The Venue
The Valley Estate was the picturesque backdrop for their nuptials, a venue that captured their hearts from the very first glance. Sabrina and Ryan didn’t even consider any other location. They knew it was the perfect setting for their special day, and without hesitation, they secured it the very day they visited. Their guest list was a carefully curated collection of dear and special people who had played vital roles in their lives.
