A girl’s best friend to find inspiration for absolutely anything is the one and only Pinterest. Turns out we all have something in common with the Duchess of Sussex as Meghan Markle herself relied on the image-sharing site for inspiration for her wedding day with Prince Harry. Her longtime makeup artist Daniel Martin disclosing all the secrets on a recent episode of the beauty podcast Glass Angeles.

Daniel confessed that he and the Duchess “exchanged a few Pinterest pictures over text” and thinks that Pinterest is an excellent tool to use as a reference when it comes to inspiration. Meghan’s inspo images were all minimalistic makeup looks with a slight bronzy glow and the skin shining through. Meghan certainly stood by her inspiration when she tied the knot to Prince Harry, with her freckles on full displace, her skin had that natural glow looking luminous and warm with very minimalistic eye shadow and a slight pink tint on her lips tying the whole look together.

Believe it or not, there was no practice round or trial makeup for the Duchess. Due to their super busy schedules, the two never met up before the wedding to do a trial but who could tell?

All thanks to Pinterest, the two were able to use Meghan’s inspo images as a guide to get that perfect bridal look.
