Modern? Rustic? Classic? Rebel? Each bride has a unique taste that represents her personality. Some love understated and intimate while others dream of OTT and the grandeur. The type of invitation, flowers, gown and reception you choose can say a lot about the type of bride you are. Preparing for the big day is so much fun and there’s no dress silhouette or bouquet that is better than the other. It’s all about celebrating a day with the people (and style) you love most! So, what kind of bride are you?

Dramatic-Luxe
She wants to feature her wedding on Vogue Italia, and break the record for longest train in bridal history. Her reception consists of three dress changes and her cake is 12-tiers of gold-leafed perfection. The rock on her finger is a custom-made cushion cut, well over 8-carats, and her catchphrase to vendors is “I want something no one has ever done before”. Every inch of her French chateau-themed wedding is covered in florals and chandeliers, with charger plates prompting the 8-course meal. Guest entertainment is synchronised swimmers and fireworks after a skywriting marathon that reads ‘Just Married!’. And they leave on their 27-countries European honeymoon tomorrow morning.

Boho-Rustic
This wedding is happening in a barn-like area, alfresco. There’s hydrangeas and baby breathes in mason jars and coffee tins, and everyone is seated on shabby wooden chairs. Personalised coffee cups are on offer near the naked cake and grazing table. The bride is wearing an off-the-shoulder flowing-lacy gown with beaded anklet sandals, and her hair is styled in an effortless braid. Guests are mingling in a fancy garden, with DIY place-cards, fairy lights and sparkler sticks creating the perfect photo-op for post-sunset celebrations. Oh, and her ring is a vintage heirloom and everyone is getting pot plants as favours.
Classic-Glam
This bride likes to kick it old-school in this ever modern wold and probably fell in love with the boy next door. She values tradition and has a deep appreciation for doing things a certain way because, well, that’s how they’ve always been done. Her ring is a simple brilliant cut and her gown is a-line perfection with dainty detailing. There’s definitely a veil atop her romantic up-do and her makeup is rosy cheeks and a soft lip. Her bouquet is filled with peonies and reception decor is black and white monochrome in an elegant reception – no outdoor celebrations here. She’ll slow-dance to Ed Sheeran, her dad will make a touching speech and guests will form a human tunnel to send off the couple all the while she rocks a fabulous yet demure smile. Bridal bliss.

Rebel-Chic
This one’s a funky lady who thinks outside the box and has an inherent passion for everything that isn’t tradition. Maybe she’s an artist or yoga instructor. Forget print invitations, guests RSVP online at Evite. The bride will get a kick out of wearing a tea-length dusty rose wedding dress with crystallised sneakers. Her hair is styled in frivolous waves and there’s an acoustic duo singing songs no one has ever heard. Maybe her partner is obsessed with Hogwarts and everyone has to have a go at Quidditch before the couple cut into their McDonalds cheeseburger-tiered cake. Oh, and she’s got a chic denim jacket for the cold weather ahead.
