This $87,000 Harry Potter Wedding will make your day magical

Ever dreamed of having a Harry Potter-inspired Wedding? Well, this couple made their magical dreams come true and tied the knot in true wizard style!

Texas couple, Stephanie Dodd 26, and Samuel Goetsch, 25 have been on-theme since day one of their engagement when Samuel proposed to Stephanie on one of the train platforms featured in the sixth Harry Potter movie.

From there, things only got more magical.

Spending $87,000 ($65,000US) on the Big Day, the beautiful Bride walked down an aisle straight from the pages of J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter novels and an owl flew to deliver the rings to Samuel’s best man.

After the enchanting ceremony, the reception took place on a room made up like the Great Hall (for those who aren’t Harry Potter fans, that’s the cafeteria) which was adorned with ‘floating’ candles, Daily Prophet-themed programs, a seating plan placed inside a Quidditch goal post and potion-inspired cocktails.

The couple also created their own house crest, inspired by the Hogwarts’ crests, which appeared on the Wedding menus, programs and even on the dance floor. The crest featured a fox and owl to represent Stephanie and Samuel’s ‘spirit guardian’, known as a Patronus in the Harry Potter books.

The couple celebrated for ten hours before the guests left with a slice from the cake inspired by the Forbidden Forest.
