REAL WEDDING: STEPHANIE AND SIMON

There’s something so exciting about receiving images of a bride who chose to wear a non-traditional wedding gown on her big day. It’s even more exciting when that gown is a pink strapless floral ball gown!

Radiant bride Stephanie never planned on wearing a colourful wedding dress, but the moment she tried on her Wendy Makin floral gown, she fell in love. And well, the rest is history! The dress soon became the key item in planning the styling and colour theme of the wedding.

Stephanie and her groom Simon chose iconic Sydney Harbour as the backdrop of their ceremony, as they had guests travelling from interstate and overseas and wanted to show off the natural beauty of their beloved city. The couple exchanged their vows at Clark Park in Lavender bay, in front of over 100 guests on a perfect spring afternoon.

The reception followed at Aqua Dining restaurant in Milsons Point, perfectly positioned next to the big cheesy grin of Sydney’s Luna Park and Sydney Olympic Swimming pool. The newlyweds really did spoil their guests with the best our picturesque city has to offer.

A decadent and eye-catching candy buffet sat centre stage at the reception, filled with colourful pink and white sweets, perfectly matching the bride’s gown. The tables were simply and elegantly styled, with pink hydrangeas, dahlias and oversized peonies.

What more can we say? Simply beautiful.
