REAL WEDDING: LAURA AND JASON

A Southern Italian destination sensation!

Stunning bride Laura and handsome groom Jason were married in Laura’s parent’s hometown of Viggiano, Italy. The couple exchanged their vows in the same church Laura’s grandparents married in over 70 years ago.

The bride wore Melbourne designer, Jane hill, who created a gown with a detachable underlay for a more conservative look, which Laura later took off to reveal a strapless neckline. The intricate floral details on the underlay as well as bodice were the perfect combination of feminine and fun. Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests travelled two hours to Positano to the breathtaking Amalfi Coast (stopping for some picturesque photos along the way).

The pair had previously dined at a family owned restaurant by the name of La Tagliata, and after experiencing the great food, atmosphere and stunning views, they instantly knew it would be the place to have their wedding reception.

To match their invitations Laura had mixed table settings consisting of blue hydrangeas and white orchids in different sized vases. White orchids hung from the rafter above the restaurant tables and the room was filled with fresh floating flowers, creating an incredible aroma.

Handmade number tiles were used as table numbers and deep blue, glass drawer knobs were used as name card holders for a touch of elegance. The bride’s love of metallic shone through with her custom-made bridesmaid dresses as well as 100 mercury glass votives on each table. If you’re thinking of having a destination wedding, this couple’s wedding is the perfect inspiration.
