A truly breathtaking, picturesque wedding! Eris and Michael, both of Greek background, figured it was only natural for their wedding to be held in Greece. The couple held their wedding on the island of Mykonos, for its scenic landscapes, crystal blue water and lively night life.
The lovely couple held their traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony on the terrace of a beautiful white washed, seaside chapel overlooking the Aegean sea, with the sun setting in the background. The bride walked along a seaside pathway accompanied by her father, brother and bridesmaids towards the chapel, with two traditional Greek musicians leading the way.
The bride wore an exquisite Eddie Gavriilidis gown, complementing the gown with a floral headpiece and Tiffany & Co. jewellery and metallic gold Jimmy Choo shoes. The bridesmaids also wore beautiful champagne coloured satin silk dresses by Eddie Gavriilidis,
As the sun set, the reception took place at an ocean front restaurant in Mykonos, with guests enjoying cocktail hour and light snacks followed by a family-style Greek feast, which included steamed mussels, fried calamari, char-grilled octopus and baby lobster.
Before dancing the night away, the couple released floating lanterns from the beach and then opened the dance floor with their first dance as husband and wife, as guests held sparklers and watched on.
When asked to describe her wedding, bride Eris said, “our visionary wedding had become an amazing reality.”
We most certainly agree, a truly amazing reality it was indeed.
