Charlyn and Justin met over 12 years ago through their shared passion for Golf! Whilst an interstate golf competition brought the pair together, it wasn’t until a few years later that they got a chance to pursue their initial connection.
Justin thought it was only fitting that he’d propose where they first met 12 years ago – on the 18th hole at the Loxton Golf Club. Once Charlyn successfully sunk her ball, she turned around to find a crowd of people holding an enormous sign with the words “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” Of course Justin followed up with a heart-warming speech and a ring he had designed himself.
The surprises didn’t end there however. Next Justin had organised a boat house, filled with candles, bottles of champagne and red rose petal for a celebration. The next day followed complete with a rented speed boat, and to Charlyn’s surprise Justin had studied to attain his boat license so that they could indulge in the experience at their own pace. The remainder of the weekend was spent with family and friends, partying, eating, drinking and of course doing some water sports.
Fast forward to their wedding day, Charlyn explains that although they’ve been best friends and lovers for over ten years, it was the day two families truly became one. It was everything they had hoped for… “Our day was romantic, intimate, special and beyond magical. We couldn’t wipe our smiles away…Truly a perfect day!”
