Sam popped the question to Amelia in a total surprise move, just days before they were due to fly out to Hawaii, in the same place they shared their first kiss seven years prior.
Reflecting on the special moment, Amelia told Wedded Wonderland, “Some of our close friends thought he might have been planning to propose while we were away but he had other ideas! On the day of the proposal, I came home from work to a new dress with a big bow on it waiting for me. Sam then told me our limo was waiting downstairs. I was a little confused as I had no idea what was going on.
“The limo took us to dinner at The Summit Restaurant at the top of Mt Cootha. We shared a lovely dinner and afterwards, Sam asked me to go outside to look at the view. He then popped the question while we were taking in the lights and sights of Brisbane! To top it all off the limo didn’t take us home – Sam has already checked us into the Emporium Hotel. It was such an amazing night! We then got to head off on our trip to Hawaii as a newly engaged couple!”

The couple celebrated their classic and elegant special day with their nearest and dearest, describing their big day as “the most amazing day ever.”
