REAL WEDDING: AMANDA AND ANTHONY

Fashion forward bride Amanda’s gown had everyone talking – for all the right reasons! With a background in fashion design, Amanda collaborated with top Sydney bridal designer Steven Khalil, to create her ultimate modern wedding gown.

For the ceremony which was held at St Fransis of Asisi Catholic church, in Paddington, the bride matched her sexy strapless gown with a floor length polka dot tulle cape, which was draped delicately around her arms. The same polka dot tulle was used to create her elegant bird-cage veil. We fell in love with the middle split of her gown, not to mention her strapless corset bodice, embellished with pearl beading and lace.

A pair of cream Valentino rock stud heels completed the modern bride’s look perfectly. However, the transformation of her designer gown was not complete just yet …

For the reception, which was held at The Ivy ballroom the bride removed her tulle cape and replaced it with a lace one shoulder sleeve.

The colour theme of the reception was white, black and gold and the key highlights were the floral arrangements and candlelight. The couple’s gold sequin 5 tier cake complete with 3D flowers, leaves and the couples initials was made by cake designer Sugar Sweet Cakes. This beautiful cake complimented the theme and atmosphere of the room perfectly.

Throughout the night, a heavy focus was placed on making sure guests were up dancing and enjoying their time, so when the night drew to an end the crowd began chanting to keep the venue open.

Sounds as though the couple achieved exactly what they had planned … An amazing night!
