REAL WEDDING: AISLINN AND JIMI

Jimi went through quite an ordeal in planning his romantic proposal !  After attending their friends wedding in Thailand,  Aislinn and Jimi travelled to Singapore for a few nights, where Jimi had planned to propose.  He had designed an engagement ring and had the designer fly it from Sydney to Singapore, with the idea of it arriving in time for Valentines Day … However, his plan did not go as smoothly as he had hoped … The ring was held up in customs for days, failing to arrive in time for Valentines Day!

However, on their last day in Singapore the ring finally arrived and Jimi suggested the couple go for a walk through The Gardens by The Bay. As they walked past a pond of coy fish, a fish which happens to signify love and luck, he took that as his cue to drop down on one knee and propose!

Aislinn and Jimi held their wedding in their hometown of Port Lincoln, South Australia. Aislinn stunned in an intricately detailed gown by Jaton Couture, complementing her look with soft loose waves, her glamorous bridesmaids were pretty in pink and her two adorable flower girls wore the prettiest Mischka Aoki white tulle dresses.

The reception was a glamorous and festive affair, with the couple and their guests partying until 3am! Beautiful white roses, tulips and green foliage decorated the tables, along with delicate white and gold foiled tea light candles and touches of gold throughout the decor; including gold invitations, table place cards and menu’s, adding a glamorous, Gatsby feel to the room.

Reflecting on their special day, the couple told Wedded Wonderland one of the most beautiful moments of their special day was their first dance as husband and wife. One of the  funniest moments of their wedding day was Jimi’s speech, where he recalled how scared he was to meet Aislinn’s dad, avoiding it for weeks. Hilarious!

Enjoy this magical wedding, Fairies.
