Real Wedding: A Tradition-filled Greek Wedding in Perth

Although some proposals may require quite the effort and preparations, sometimes it simply takes a spontaneous moment that completely makes sense. Theo had planned to propose to partner Sia at a private dinner at Le Jules Verne, Paris. However, one evening on the Pont de Bir-Hakeim, overlooking the Eiffel Tower, Theo took the plunge and proposed in what felt like the perfect moment! Sia later tells Wedded Wonderland, that it truly was the perfect moment, shared equally between the pair.

Fast-forward to their wedding day, the pair were wedded at a family church of three generations that held immense significance to both families. Coincidentally, growing up with similar heritages from the small island of Kastellorizo, Greece, Sia and Theo were sure to include a great deal of tradition throughout the day. Aspects of their Greek culture created elements of warmth and sentiment that saluted to new memories and the continuing of tradition.

Sia and Theo planned for a black-tie reception embedded in a theme of luxury and intimacy. The Crown Ballroom was transformed into a warm and personal space, unique to the couple’s vision of attaining the grand feeling that drew them to the venue to begin with. Floral arrangements dressed the room in classic whites and greens, whilst luxurious crystal chandeliers hung lavishly from the ceiling.

Later, friends and family were surprised with a Zaffet band from Sydney, and a Greek band from Melbourne. Uniting forces, these two entertainment guru’s created a memorable evening, complete with champagne and endless dancing.
