Rachel and Trent’s elegant yet modern minimalist wedding had a dreamy white palette with hints of grey and charcoal, greens from foliage and a touch of gold. Wanting a venue close to the water, to bring a sense of calmness to the day, Carousel in Albert Park was the perfect venue with its uninterrupted water views and city skyline.
Rachel stunned in two different gowns on her special day; the first an ethereal Steven Khalil gown for the ceremony, then for the reception a classic Hayley Paige princess gown.
Reflecting back on their special day, the couple told Wedded Wonderland one of their favourite moments of the night was their first dance together. ” We were so nervous leading up to the dance that Trent and I both kept our alcohol intake to a minimal. Trent was worried he would forget the steps and I was worried I would step on my massive ball gown. In the end everything went smoothly and the guests were very impressed.”
Another memorable moment from the night was taking a moment to themselves to take in their special day; something so many couple’s regret not doing! “We sat in a quiet corner, just the two of us, and took a few minutes to ourselves. We spoke about the day and the success of the night and tried to absorb everything in, feeling surreal that we were finally husband and wife.”
