Primary School Sweethearts Finally Tie The Knot

Nhi and Nathan’s love story will melt your heart. The two first met while they were in Year 2 at primary school! Ten years later when the two were in Year 12, Nathan added Nhi on Facebook. Originally, Nhi was trying to set Nathan up for her best friend but at the time, she didn’t know that Nathan wasn’t interested in her friend but with Nhi! Nathan and Nhi were good friends until he asked her to be his girlfriend and the two were inseparable ever since!

And the couple’s proposal was just as sweet and romantic as their love story! Nhi organised a weekend away in Canberra for Nathan’s birthday but little did she know that Nathan had planned a surprise proposal. He arranged for Nhi to get her makeup done while he set up their suite with flowers. Although Nathan was so nervous and shaking, Nhi knew how happy and excited he was to ask her to be his wife.

The couple’s wedding was a perfect representation of the two! The wedding was styled beautifully and elegantly with the couple’s close friends and family. The wedding was adorned with white florals, lush greenery and gold details, keeping the styling classic and timeless. Nhi’s gorgeous bridesmaids wore simple and figure hugging dresses with a side split.

Nhi handmade her wedding favours, baking 150 shortbread biscuits with white marshmallow fondant, gold foiling, embossed with “The Puljics 27.07.19” for a beautiful personalised touch to the wedding. Nhi also hand wrote all the place cards in gold for all 150 guests and they turned out perfectly!

Instead of a traditional veil, Nhi decided to go for an off the shoulder cape veil instead with delicate lace trim and soft tulle which added a unique touch to Nhi’s bridal look.

Coming from two different cultures, meant that the couple incorporated their culture and traditions throughout their day. The couple had a Vietnamese priest for the ceremony and guests were served Croatian spirts throughout the entire day. The couple’s family members brought in the Vietnamese, Croatian and Australian flags to honour all cultures and traditions in a symbolic and touching way. Guests were dancing all night to traditional Vietnamese and Croatian songs which made it a memorable night for all.

The couple’s first dance was definitely a memorable moment for both Nathan and Nhi as they were surrounded by bubbles, fireworks and dry ice, giving that fairytale like ambience.

Congratulations Nhi and Nathan!
