It’s confirmed; the first Married at First Sight baby is on the way! The reality TV show in which two complete strangers who’ve been ‘matched’ by psychology experts get Married, has so far had quite a good success rate, with half of the couples still together to this day.

The stars from Season 1 of the program, 27-year old Zoe Hendrix and 31-year old Alex Garner announced that they’re four months pregnant, with the baby due in October 2016. Zoe said that they’re both ‘absolutely over the moon’ and Alex added ‘I’m scared…It’s absolutely happening.’

The pair spoke to Woman’s Day about the heartbreak they suffered after Zoe had a miscarriage last year at the end of her first trimester, but the tragedy didn’t impact on their dream to start a family together.

‘Its definitely bittersweet,’ Zoe said talking about her miscarriage, ‘you get really excited. Alex and I were already buying nursery items. You know, we had a lot more clothes than we probably needed to buy, even at that point. And then your world gets turned upside down.’

This will be the first child for Zoe and Alex who are in for a big year as they also revealed that they’re hoping to make their Wedding official (the TV Wedding is not legally recognised, it’s simply a civil service)!
