Popping the question may seem simple but planning the perfect moment and scene to spend the rest of your life with your partner can seem a bit overwhelming!

And while there are so many ways to propose, the one thing all proposals all have in common is careful planning and consideration. Take the pressure off and relief the stress by looking up to the stars for some guidance on executing the perfect proposal for your partner based on their star sign.

Aries (March 21 – April 20)

Aries are strong-willed so for the proposal, keep it simple! Make the proposal extra special by weaving it into your partner’s daily routine morning coffee, weekly date night or whatever that special time may be! By sticking to your partner’s routine will ensure your partner will get the best surprise if it’s unexpected and timed perfectly!

Taurus (April 21 – May 20)

Taurus aren’t a fan of anything flashy or over the top so keep it toned down with the proposal. Think about your partner’s comfort zones and catching them off guard, you will certainly sweep your partner off their feet!

Geminis are all about social interactions, so chances are they’ll immediately want to share the news all of their social media (after saying yes!). Cancers can be emotionally unpredictable most of the time so make sure you pick the right moment. Cancers are also proud homebodies so incorporate their favourite places into your master plan. Catch your partner off guard by popping the question spontaneously and still pull out all the romantic gestures, the rose petals, champagne and everything else your partner loves to make it extra special!

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

It’s all about the Leo, they are full of energy and passionate so make sure in your proposal your partner feels wanted and appreciated. Write out all your thoughts and feelings on a piece of paper to tie to your partner as this will add an extra personal touch that will be a cherished for a long time.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Virgos are known for their down to earth, reserved nature and are not a fan of flashy displays of affection. Make sure your proposal is well planned beforehand as Virgos are also perfectionists so pressure is defiantly on! It would mean the world to your partner to use their loved ones for extra help to make it very personal and special.

All Libras have probably fantasied about their dream proposal for a very long time, so it must be executed perfectly. Whisk your partner away for a romantic getaway with no distractions. Go for a couple’s massage, a fancy dinner or spend quality alone time with each other and then pop the question!

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Scorpios have a love for adventure so embrace your wild side and think outside the box for your proposal. Plan an adventurous day out or take go out for a road trip and top the day off with the question that will leave your partner absolutely speechless!

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Sagittarius are the happiest when they are travelling, so the idea of pairing the excitement of an engagement with the trill of exploring a foreign city is a match made in proposal heaven! Even though Sagittarius are known for their easy going nature, don’t be fooled! They are deep down perfectionists so it’s all about the finer details and picking the right moment. What’s better than getting down on one knee overlooking the Seine or the Eiffel Tower glistening in the background as the perfect backdrop.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Perfectionists like Capricorns might be a little hard to please when it comes to the proposal. But don’t let this worry you, they’re sure to love a surprise proposal as much as they would love a trip to the jewellery store where you can pick out a ring together. Whatever you do, it’s not a real proposal unless your man goes down on one knee and besides, Capricorns are suckers for traditions.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Aquarius’ free spirited and easygoing nature will give you lots of freedom in planning your dream proposal. A break of their daily routine would be a delightful surprise or plan a fun, adventurous day and allow your partner to feel like a kid again following by putting a ring on it!

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Water signs like Pisces are sure to love a proposal that includes anything with the seaside. A walk by the beach, a sunset sail or even in an aquarium. Pisces are also known for their affection so alone time is key after you pop the question so you can both share your emotions and process what just happened!
