Everything We Know About Prince Louis’ Christening

From weddings to babies, and everything in between, it’s been a whirlwind year for our favourite royals. Ever since our little Louis graced the steps of the Lindo Wing, we were already anticipating his next oh-so-cute appearance.

Kensington Palace has announced all the details of his christening via their official twitter account.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce that the christening of Prince Louis will take place on Monday 9th July at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, London.

“Prince Louis will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby,” who recently wed the now Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The chapel is steeped with all the royal sentiment. The day of Prince Louis’ christening, will also mark the anniversary of the Queen and Prince Philip’s engagement in 1947, exactly 71 years earlier.

We’ll get to see the family in all their royal glory once again, with the Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, the Sussex newlyweds and Kate Middleton‘s family in attendance.

Prince George was christened in the Chapel Royal while Princess Charlotte was baptised at Sandringham in Norfolk.

Little Louis will likely be christened in the same gown his siblings wore on their big day — a replica of the historic royal christening gown first worn by Queen Victoria’s daughter.

We know it’s your guilty pleasure, so save the date for all the royal regalia.
