Melbourne couturier Con Ilio has yet again created a gorgeous collection fit for the luxurious bride that dares to be different. With inspiration from the Mediterranean and in particular Spain, Ilio’s latest bridal collection celebrates the vibrant culture, dramatic architecture and flamenco theatrics.
In true Con Ilio fashion his latest collection features structured Italian brocade, intricate French lace and English tulle all sourced from around the globe and pieced together to create the most special bridal gowns. Also featuring pearl beading and delicate lace applique make these gowns modern yet classic. Reminiscent of a traditional Spanish bride, the silhouette of form-fitted bodice and dramatic wide skirt, in same cases covered in ostrich feathers, creates just the right amount of theatrics that’ll have you imagining sexy flamenco dancing and Spanish bullfighters.
Brides worldwide are sure to find a gown to gush over within this collection, feathers and all. “I wanted to design a powerful bridal collection that draws clear parallels to the Spanish culture and that collectively feels bold, feminine and romantic, touching both traditional and innovative fashion territories”, explains Ilio.
