Lara and Anthony met through mutual friends at the ages of 16 and 17, however they waited until after high school to pursue their relationship.
They were on holiday in Hamilton Island when Anthony proposed.
“He knew I was never into big public Proposals, so he left the ring box sitting on the bed in our hotel room for me to see when entering our room. I saw the box and was shocked”, Lara said. “I immediately said “that better not be a pair of earrings”, but once I opened it, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!”
This Couple were lucky enough to be able to celebrate their nuptials with 236 guests, before Melbourne’s lockdown restrictions were implemented.
A nod to their Italian heritage, the Bride and Groom had a friend play the Piano Accordion, watching all of their guests dance the Tarantella. What a fun way to honour a tradition! This was something the couple had yet to see at an Italian Wedding, with their guests expressing how beautiful it was.
When asking Bride Lara the one piece of advice she would give to Brides, she informed “to be more present during the celebrations, listen to the music and enjoy the dancefloor!”
Wise words, Fairies, be inspired!
