An All-White Wedding Set Against The Santorini Sunset

Najah and Fares first met over 15 years ago in primary school, though they didn’t stay in touch. It wasn’t until a sly Facebook friend request was sent that the two reconnected.

“Before the first date, Fares was already planning the second,” Najah told us.

Their destination wedding took the pair to the Rocabella Spa & Suites in Santorini, Greece, where they were joined by family from all over the world, including Australia, Lebanon, Germany, Egypt, England, Jordan and Ireland. Their guests followed an all-white dress code, one that contrasted against the iconic light blue shades of the Greek island.

“I walked into the ceremony with Greek musicians that really set the scene,” said Najah. “Once the ceremony was finished, everyone relaxed around the pool with drinks and canapés and we all got up and danced Zorba around the pool.”

For the reception, the pair paid tribute to their Lebanese heritage with traditional drums as everyone danced – something which Najah described as “a glorious moment as the sun was slowly setting.”

Santorini’s famous sunset was far from disappointing, throwing warm colours across the wedding party and complementing Najah’s Steven Khalil gown.

Choosing such an iconic place for their wedding meant soaking up the all that the island has to offer, which included a private sunset yacht cruise for Najah, Fares, and their friends. However, the most unique moment for the couple was their first look, one which they with the sunrise of their wedding day, before anyone else was awake.

“We wanted to have a moment where we would feel the serenity of such a picturesque place.”
