A White and Gold Wedding That Breaks Tradition

Adriana had always dreamed of having a romantic proposal ever since she was a little girl. So, when Robert finally decided to propose, he wanted to make all her dreams come true.

“Robert surprised me by taking me on a private yacht which sailed around Port Stephens,” Adriana told us.

“I thought he was just trying to be romantic and cute until he said, ‘Come on, let’s go take a photo’ and dropped to one knee, asking me to spend forever with him.”

This beautiful proposal set the scene for a gorgeous white and gold themed wedding, with a soft and elegant touch. The two colours were used in every styling element, from Adriana’s childhood home all the way to the wedding reception.

One of the most heart-warming moments for Adriana was walking out of her parent’s house for the last time. Having planned to move to Wollongong straight after the wedding, she became emotional as her new life with her new husband was about to begin.

Breaking from tradition, Adriana wanted both of her parents to walk her down the aisle.

“I had my Mum and Dad walk me down the aisle. Usually people only have their Dad walk them, but my Mum and I are so close and she has done so much for me. It was such a special moment to have her stand by me walking me down the aisle.”

Luckily, she didn’t trip over her stunning Steven Khalil dress, adorned with a gorgeous train.

“That was all I was worried about the whole lead up to the wedding. Imagine I tripped over and humiliated myself in my wedding dress. Luckily I didn’t!”

The funniest moment the newlyweds shared on their big day was the speeches. Robert knew he wanted his to be memorable, but also hilarious.

“My husband told everyone I was more excited about getting a Steven Khalil wedding dress than marrying him … obviously he was joking!”

Congratulations to happy couple!
