A Sentimental And Timeless South Australian Wedding

Joel and Rebecca first met 6 and a half years ago at a friend’s 21st birthday. He had just been thrown into the pool by friends, only wearing a Mexican-style poncho when the two were introduced to each other. Minus this little detail, the two hit it off! Joel’s carefree nature and humour definitely swept Rebecca off her feet.

Rebecca was definitely caught by surprise by Joel’s style of popping the question – in the shower! He then planned a romantic day in the Barossa Valley for the two to celebrate.

The couple went for a stylish and modern wedding that wasn’t too over the top. The venue had a gorgeous swimming pool which was the main feature of their outdoor wedding. They had a large, clear marquee set up next to the pool which lit up so beautifully at night, creating a spectacular and unique backdrop.

Rebecca is a Graphic Designer and she knew exactly how she wanted to style her wedding. She was very hands on in terms of designing and styling the big day which made the process even more personalised and precious.

The couple’s wedding also features beautiful sentiments to honour the bride’s late father. “I think my mum walking me down the aisle and seeing the absolute happiness that shone from Joel’s face was the most heart-warming moment I’ve ever felt,” explains Rebecca.

A beautiful wedding for a gorgeous couple!

Congratulations Rebecca and Joel!
