A Polish Wedding In An Old Post-War Chapel

Jessica and Mateusz had the most romantic love story, and it all started when they were only 13 years old.

Having spent years (and miles) apart, sending each other love letters, emails and roses, their love endured until Mateusz decided to move to Australia 6 years ago.

The lovebirds eventually took it to the next level, tying the knot in a small village called Brezawa located in Subcarpathia Poland.

Their dream to have a fairy tale wedding became a reality, saying ‘I Do’ in a castle and defying most of their Polish tradition.

With a beautiful ceremony in the town’s only post-war chapel, and an Opera singer and harp players playing Hallelujah, the beautiful bride made her way down the aisle, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight!

The newlyweds continued to celebrate in a reception surrounded by family and friends, with more than 200 bottles of vodka, fireworks at midnight, a 6-course dinner, smorgasbord table and a famous Polish band!

The most truly inspiring part of the wedding was the bride, Jessica, who had always walked through life conscious of her weight. However, on her special day, she felt (and looked) beautiful, gowned in a Carrie Bradshaw inspired dress.

Congratulations Jessica & Mateusz!
