A Pastel-coloured Bridal Shower in New York

The theme for this spectacular bridal shower was “Roses, Tea and Ice Cream Dreams”. Ice cream being Erin’s favourite food, was surely incorporated into her special day.

The Inn at New Hyde Park in New York hosted what brilliantly balanced the playfulness and elegance of what would be considered a traditional bridal shower. White, silver and grey tones washed through the room, and together with pastel colours created a delicate and fascinating setting.

Guests arrived in bright florals, dressed to the bride’s request of ‘tea party attire’ – each with their very own tea hats and fascinators. A unique twist was added to floral arrangements by attaching a real ice cream cone to the base of each one – some sprinkles were also added for a hint of sass. Challenging the very cuteness of all ice cream cakes we’ve ever seen however, was Erin’s ice cream bride that had her very own bouquet and veil. So cute!

Erin had set her sights on a destination wedding which meant that many of her family members would be unable to attend. She therefore catered for a festive event, full of laughter, joy and entertaining moments. Later in the evening, guests were treated to a banquet of food, complete with bacon, Belgian waffles, eggs and home fries. Followed by trivia candy games and the oldie but goody “make a wedding dress out of toilet paper” game the day was an undoubtable success.

Oh and did we forget to mention the ice cream sundae bar?
