The festivities of the November Arab Fashion Week kicked off on Wednesday and with over 50 local and international designers showcasing their work, there’s a lot see and marvel at.

The bi-annual event is still relatively new – having only started in April 2015 – but attracts a very impressive lineup of fashion powerhouses who know how to tap into the Middle Eastern and Asian markets. AFW is the only platform in the world to promote “Ready-Couture” and Pre-Collections, focused on “diminishing ‘à-la-chaine production’ and re-establishing a more privileged designer/ client relationship that has been lost with Ready-to-Wear.”

Kicking off the November show with Lebanese designer, Saher Dia, AFW has attracted a wide range of designers whose looks will define the luxury fashion scene of the Arab world, including Aiisha Ramadan, Mua Mua Dolls, Tony Ward, Kartikeya, Phuong My, Christophe Guillarmé, Minaz, Mario Orfei, David Tlale, Renato Balestra Marketa Hakkinen, Vadim Spatari, and Elsi Couture.
While the Week edges to a close, we thought we’d take a look back at AFW’s Ready Couture & Resort 2018 Collection in May 2017, which featured greats like Marchesa, Renato Balestra, Michael Cinco, Rad Hourani, Abdo Aoudi, and more.
