Melanie and Stephen tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at St Mary’s Cathedral followed by a stunning reception party at the Waterview, Bicentennial Park.
The couple had a white and gold themed wedding with a hint of their love for travel included in the theme. Guests found their seats by looking at a seating chart named “Arrivals” which was designed to look like the arrivals board at the airport, with each table named after a destination they had visited and ones that were on our bucket list – including Bora Bora, where the couple went on their honeymoon.
One of the most special moments of the couple’s wedding was having Melanie’s beautiful mum in attendance. “My mum was in hospital in the months leading up to the wedding and we only received clearance from the doctors days before the wedding that she was able to attend for the day. My mum has recently passed away so having my mum be there for our wedding is a memory I will treasure forever.” We are so glad Melanie has this beautiful memory from her Wedding Day to hold close to her heart.
One of the most fun aspects of the wedding was having Mauritian Sega dancers perform, bringing such a fun energy that kicked off the dancing for the rest of the evening.
