The Bridal Bazaar 2018 hosted some of Australia’s most talented and sought-after bridal designers. It was Winter Wonderland at Australia’s most Luxurious Bridal Expo, with multiple runaways and an exclusiveGalia Lahav Queen of Hearts runway collection from the world-renowned Israeli designer, available exclusively at Eternal Bridal.

It was a parade of showstopping gowns as Australia’s sought-after designers featured timeless and stunning bridalwear, mixing elements of romance, luxury and sophistication as models walked the runway with dramatic silhouettes, intricate embroidery, sheer gowns and dramatic trains.

Here are the key trends from this year’s The Bridal Bazaar.

Mixing Fabrics

Designers used a mixture of fabrics to create a textured look, as seen on this bridal gown by The Sposa Group. This elevates the overall look of the bridal gowns by playing with different textures and dramatic silhouettes.

Bridal Suits

Sleek and sophisticated with the right balance of elegance and modernity. This year’s runway saw a display of bridal suits featuring designs from Farage, Lillian Khallouf and Galia Lahav viaEternal Bridal. To add elegance and an extra touch of sophistication, the Galia Lahav bridal suit has an attached delicate bridal train for maximum elegance.

Statement Sleeves

There were plenty of intricate and ornate long sleeves seen on the runway, ideal for winter brides. The bridal gown by Toscanofeatured a sheer, high neck, long sleeves with intricate floral embroidery.

Whereas the design by Lillian Khallouf featured a modern off-shoulder, long sleeve bridal gown.

Daring Necklines

Combining luxury and sophistication, designers such asLeah Da Gloria, Alin Le’Kal and Galia Lahav showed off daring and plunging necklines.

Bold Colour

Designers such as Ruth Fattal and Catherine Colubriale took a risk as they showcased bold, primary colors on the runway. This red, strapless couture gown by Ruth Fattal features a red tulle ideal for unconventional brides.

Sequins and Sparkles

Designers such as Beirut-based Rami Kadi and Melbourne-based Helen Manuell lit up the runway with a display of sophisticated bridal gowns featuring sequins and sparkles.

Gold Accent Headpieces

Stepping away from traditional veils, gold headpieces made their way onto the runway. Models walked the runway with gold headpieces from Bridal Blue, Stephanie Browne, Jean Fox Bridal and House of Emmanuel to complement the delicate and modern gowns.

Floral Details

Sticking to the night’s nutcracker theme, designers such as Helen Manuell kept things feminine and elegant with ornate floral details.

Backless Gowns

For daring brides, designers such as Judy Copley Couture created stunning backless gowns for brides opting for sophisticated bridal wear with a touch of sexiness.

Sheer Details

Sheer wedding gowns bring a sense of glamour, as well as a daring touch to the traditional gown. J’Aton‘s addition to the runway was an adventurous take on the sculpted, sheer gown.
