3 Proposals And 3 Times The Love!

Well Fairies, this Proposal story is one for the ages! Tommy Proposed to Daniella 3 times (yes 3!) and their story is nothing short of romantic and perfect. Daniella who is originally from Sydney Wed her Fiancé in Scottsdale, Arizona, and although her family and friends in Australia were worlds away, they were ever present on Daniella and Tommy’s journey of love! From their incredible Proposal story, to their unique rehearsal dinner and to all of the beautiful and unique details on their Wedding day, this love story is one to be cherished and remembered.

The Proposal:

When Daniella’s Mother in-law rang to confirm her trip with Tommy to Arizona and suggesting a date night, she knew this was it – he was going to Propose! Although she had the feeling, Tommy proposing took her by complete surprise. Daniella tells Wedded Wonderland the full story and we just cannot deal Fairies, it was just so perfect!

“A week before we left it was Memorial Day weekend in NYC & we had just moved into our new home. Tommy suggested when we have dinner on the wharf outside our old home as a farewell, he is rather thoughtful about celebrating all our moments. I met at his office that night & when I arrived his friend Brian was in his office looking so sad, I walked in right away and sat with him trying to cheer him up, nothing was working, so I invited him to dinner, he said no at first but then agreed and went home to change.”

They tried to change the booking to 3 but weren’t able to so Daniella suggested another restaurant to go to and when they arrived Tommy, who was anxious at this stage, kept walking until he pointed to where they were.

“All of a sudden he was fine and we started walking, he told me how much he loved me and how he always wanted to propose to me in Paris or where we first kissed – on the rooftop of Eataly in the Hollywood Hills called Terra… Then we stopped and he pointed to where we were, I looked up and he said ‘So I brought Terra to NYC’. There Terra was in NYC & roses shaped in a heart, he got on one knee and…. everything was a blur, I remember hearing the NYC street starting to cheer and a man filming us.”

But Fairies, the surprises didn’t stop quite there… “Tommy proposed 2 more times. The first was the above with a pearl ring he had made for me, with pearls from a family brooch that his Grandmother had gifted to his Mother and now me. I had asked Tommy that my engagement ring be pearls with a family story or meaning… After that we went to the wharf for drinks and he proposed again, this time with a ring made from his Mother’s engagement setting and with this ring he promised to propose to me every year for the rest of our lives and add to the ring each year.” The Couple flew to Arizona to celebrate with their family where once again Tommy proposed for a third time in a restaurant called Terra.

Most Unique:

Daniella and Tommy’s nuptials were unique to their own love story and made their Wedding picture perfect! They celebrated their rehearsal dinner with an ‘In’n’Out burgers theme with a big live screen of Daniella’s sister delivering the most wonderful and heartfelt speech. Their Wedding was a mix of their cultures and had Lebanese drummers and a belly dancer who taught Tommy and their guests how to belly dance beforehand. One of our favourite aspects was Daniella’s pearl bouquet which had 8 photos hanging from it of all of her nieces and nephews that couldn’t be there, as well as Tommy’s 2 trinket photos of two family members that had passed away.

Daniella who is also better known as Buttercream Lane, made their Wedding cake in her Mother in-laws kitchen complete with a John Khoury gold feature piece. She also made her Groom a cake whose request was PB & J – and went above and beyond to create a 3D peanut butter and jelly Bride and Groom.
