10 KISSES FROM OUR FAVOURITE MODERN MOVIES

Whether it’s pecking, pashing, snogging or making out, everyone loves a knee-buckling kiss and no-one does it quite like Hollywood. From Jack and Rose on the front of the Titanic, to Johnny and Baby on the dance-floor, who can resist the romance of a magic movie moment?

We’ve rounded up 10 of our favourite modern movie kisses – which one’s yours?

1. The Notebook

“It still isn’t over”, until the credits come on… Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) and Annie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams), who are a match made in Hollywood heaven, share a passionate kiss in the pouring rain that will leaves all of us dreaming of recreating the moment (without a care about the weather ruining our hair!).

2. 10 Things I Hate About You

This classic blockbuster is about irresistible bad-boy, Patrick (Heath Ledger) and social outcast Kat (Julia Stiles). Forget about the fancy dinner and expensive wine, this classic kiss takes place on a haystack in the middle of a paintball match!

3. Crazy, Stupid Love

We’ve had to include another scene with Ryan Gosling in it, because clearly we can’t get enough!

Crazy, Stupid, Love, the title says it all. Hannah (Emma Stone) is led to <falsely> believe that her lover is proposing. Upon realising there’s no ring coming, she gets drunk on gin, runs through pouring rain, storms into a bar, interrupts Gosling’s flirt fest and plants an uncompromising  kiss on his lips. This, my girls, is a must watch!

3. A Walk To Remember

This shy and soft-hearted romance is the ultimate love story between a high school bad-boy and the religious, reserved girl who manages to change his ways and win him over with her kindness. Their kiss is guaranteed to invoke an outpouring of tears!

5. Pretty Woman

This modern-day fairy-tale features Julia Roberts as an unlikely heroine and the eternally handsome Richard Gere as her prince charming.

6. Dirty Dancing

How could we forget the iconic Dirty Dancing? A session of flirty fun on the dance-floor leads into a session of kissing between Johnny (Patrick Swayze) and Baby (Jennifer Grey).

7. My Girl

The innocent young romance between Vada and Thomas starts with a kiss under the trees, proving that love can grow from the most unlikely of friendships.

8. 27 Dresses

Jane Nichols (Katherine Heighel) and Kevin Doyle (James Marsden) are forced to seek shelter at a nearby bar after getting stuck in heavy storms. After dancing to some Elton John (Bennie and the Jets) with the whole bar cheering them on, the twosome lock lips and ‘shake it loose together’!

9. Step Up

Starring Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, Step-Up’s onscreen smooch was so powerful, they ended up getting married in real life!

10. Spiderman

If you ever get bored of kissing, Spiderman is the place to look to for some upside-down inspiration. Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) and Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) have a powerful upside-down pash in the 2002 flick while Peter hangs from the roof of a building. If you’re going to try this at home, use some extra cushions!
