On Wednesday night, Wedded Wonderland had the pleasure of experiencing a floral heaven from the brilliant mind of Karen Tran. If you’ve been following along on our Instagram and Facebook pages, you would have seen the gorgeous spectacle that was the final night of Karen Tran’s three-day Masterclass at Queensland’s InterContinental Sanctuary Cove, hosted by Alysia Bridger of Celebrations by Alysia. The event was the second for Karen Tran in Queensland.
For the last 20 years, Karen Tran has been creating out of this world floral displays for high-end events and has been featured in Bride & Bloom, Italian Vogue, and Ceci Style Magazine. The three-day Masterclass was an exclusive opportunity for a selected number of guests to participate in hands-on lessons on how to create floral masterpieces for luxurious weddings and events.
Kicking off the three-day event, Karen spoke to her exclusive class about her journey to success and the challenges she faced along the way. The focus of the day was Creating A Signature Style and Using Social Media To Advance Your Business.
The second day’s class centred around Grand Scale Floral Design, with attendees getting to create spectacular floral art in the form of flower walls, entrances and overhanging flowers. The final day was all about creating an over-the-top Karen Tran-style wedding, making use of fine china, linens, and fresh flowers, as well as learning about the mechanics of marketing and branding.
Finally, the Gala dinner took guests on an extravagant journey through a floral heaven filled with 10,000 roses, including an archway of mirrors covered in roses and suspended tulips that welcomed guests through. Dry ice gave the appearance of walking on clouds as guests entered, with ballerinas dancing majestically through the mist. The dry ice theme continued throughout the night, accompanying the dessert course, and each guest had their name written on the glass table by a calligrapher.
After spending so much time together, emotions were high as Alysia and Karen addressed the room, thanking everyone from the bottom of their hearts for being there.
“I am so incredibly grateful that my heart has been touched by every single one of you,” said Karen. “We all have our own journey and it could be short, difficult, or hard, but we’re all here in heaven this evening and we are all blessed and I am truly blessed. I’m truly blessed because I’ve found so many angels in my life.”
