This Enchanted Forest Wedding Featured A Berta Bridal Look

In 2011, Monique and Paul met at their very first job – Peter’s of Kensington. Little did the two 18-year-olds know, that one day, they would be pronounced husband and wife…

The Wedding

“The wedding was just beautiful. The most memorable and funniest part for me was when I walked to the end of the aisle and my husband said to me: “OMG you couldn’t get a dress more suited to you if you tried”. I remember thinking damn, I thought this was different!”

The Theme

The theme for me was so special. It was enchanted forest themed and I really worked hard on bringing all the elements together as I didn’t have a wedding planner, something I later regretted considering I had 400 people at the wedding haha. I brought in Cherry Blossom Trees, had a bespoke backdrop designed for the big screens in the room and the brightest most beautiful flowers cascading all around the room.”

Something You’d Change

“Definitely the size of my bridal party. 12 Bridesmaids and Groosmen, 2 Jnr Bridesmaids and Groosmen and 5 Pageboys and Flowers Girls…”
