This Couple had their Reception on their One Year Anniversary

It has without a doubt been a challenging time for our Couples getting Married and the Wedding Industry. Looming restrictions and snap lockdowns have forced many of our Couples to postpone their Wedding for a later date. Some of our Couples have chosen to get Married with less than 10 people, whilst others are waiting so they’re able to have a large celebration. A trend and great idea we have seen many Couples do is get Married in a ceremony, and have their reception on their one-year anniversary. This is such a beautiful way to celebrate on not only your anniversary, but with your loved ones who weren’t present at your ceremony.

George and Angelina Married last year in a small and intimate 5-person ceremony, having their reception a year later on their anniversary. Although their Wedding was unconventional, Bride Angelina wouldn’t have had it any other way and wants other Couples to share their unique stories, “I just hope that we can continue to share stories of Couples who took a somewhat unconventional route to show that there are other ways to have the best of both worlds.”

“With everything that’s going on right now, I feel extremely relieved that we chose to get Married last year and still celebrated at a later date. It was such a special day and separating the Wedding and reception removed a lot of the unknowns and stress of delaying the next chapter of our life together. There was so much love in the room, it was such an emotional experience. Our friends and family were so truly happy to celebrate with us, it was honestly magical I have no other words for it. I would not change a thing even if I could.”
