The Proposal
This couple had been travelling through Europe, with their final stop in Venice. Chris knew Mariah wanted experience a romantic gondola ride, and so at sunset, he took her to the canal.
Chris told the Gondolier in Italian of his intentions to propose – and so the Gondolier took them to a Church, where he got down on one knee and popped the question!
The Wedding
For Mariah, one of the highlights was walking down the aisle with her Dad, watching her soon to be Husband’s eyes filled with tears.
Amazingly, this Bride’s Aunty was Paul Vasileff’s (of Paolo Sebastian) first dressmaking teacher. Thus, with Paul’s help – her Aunty made her veil, which is now a keepsake within Mariah’s family.
After eighteen months of planning, this Couple was set to be married on March 2020. However, 10 days before their wedding, COVID hit Australia and they couldn’t proceed. Completely devastated this Bride and Groom set a new date for December, 2020.
After a long 8 months of ups and downs, cutting and re-adding numbers, boarders opening and closing (and a 3 day lockdown might we add), Mariah and Chris finally celebrated their day!
Love always wins in the end!
